So it's been 6 weeks since Mommy went away for a few days and came home with this thing called a "baby". They say he is named after Grandpa, but they don't call him "Grandpa" they call him "Jamie" (and sometimes "Monkey", whatever that is!)
While I've gotten used to him, I'm not sure yet if I like him. He acts like he can't do anything for himself and he cries ALL the time. What does he have to cry about? I have to walk everywhere and they carry him, I have to go outside when I potty and he can potty where he is and they change him while making funny faces. He gets to eat 10times a day (really, I counted) but I only eat twice! When he starts to cry they pick him up, when I bark, they tell me to hold on they'll let me out in a minute. He talks all the time too, but he doesn't make any sense. It's all jibberish, but Mommy pretends to understand him. I think she is losing her mind from lack of sleep.
Talking about sleep, he is awake at craxy times! Sometimes when Mommy is rocking him late at night, I'll go and lay down next to the chair, but most of the time, I go sleep in the hallway or even go downstairs to the sofa! I am only getting about 12 hours of sleep a day now.
Mommy and Daddy are always getting up to see what he is crying about. He sleeps in this swing-thing that rocks him and you think he would go right to sleep, but as soon as I lay down on Mommy or Daddy's lap, he starts to cry and then I have to get up. I don't like the swing anyway, it keeps hitting me in the head!
He has a lot of toys that he doesn't play with, but I can't play with them either. At first I was really upset, I mean I really like the ones that squeek or make noise, but now I don't even care. Daddy got me a Harley-Davidson squeeky toy and I just lay on my bed with that and my bones. I hope Jamie doesn't try to take my stuff. If I can't play with his, then he should not be able to play with mine!
Well, I think I'm going to go lay down on Daddy lays down, that way I can get in the middle and the baby has to sleep in his own bed!
Here are some pictures Mommy has taken of us ...

So Says the Sarge: A Cross Country Trek ...
These past few weeks have been crazy busy. I feel so tired. After driving from Louisiana to Georgia, we got to do it all over this weekend as we trekked from Georgia to Houston and back for my Uncle Gordon and Aunt Mindy's wedding. It was a great time, but the 16 hour trip (one-way) took its toll and I am exhausted. However, Mommy did take a few pictures along the drive ...

Mommy will post more later, but she's still trying to get all the laundry done.
Time to go, I think I hear Mommy getting ready for bed and I have to get a good spot ...

So Says the Sarge: Packing It Up
Hey! It's me, Sgt. Major. Mom and Dad are quite busy right now with the movin and all, so I thought I'd give this whole blogging thing a try. Mom gets awefully excited about it, but Dad isn't into it very much.
Well the house has been a flurry of activity this week, and no one is paying much attention to me. A few of the ladies packing said I was cute and one of the movers stopped to pet my head, but for the most part, I've been watching everything and getting quite anxious.
On Monday, Mom and Dad picked my up from the kennel where I'd spent the weekend. I was not happy and they were concerned that I was sad and slow. For some reasn that they can't figure out and I haven't been able to tell them, I cannot jump anymore. I can't et on the bed, sofa or in the truck without their help.
On Tuesday, Mommy unpacked boxes that she and Daddy brought from Grandpa's house in Houston. Daddy came home sick and was in bed with me all day on Monday and Tuesday. She also did A LOT of laundry and packed the bags to take with us. Just watching her made me tired.
On Wednesday, the packers came. There were so many of them. They said if I was good I wouldn't have to go in the kennel, so I perched on the couch all day with Daddy and watch the craziness. Mommy was back and forth trying not to get in the way. It was kind of funny.
Thursday brought the movers and I was confined to the livingroom. At least I had some room to move around and Mommy and Daddy hung out in there in between checking on the loading of the furniture. The house looked really empty when they left. That night we slept on an air matress in the bedroom. I was happy because I could climb on and off all night! Daddy was still sick and went to bed after finishing the packing. We crashed at about 11 p.m. Mommy stayed up until 1 a.m. cleaning. She finished on Friday and then we packed the trucks and left at lunchtime. By then I was very excited about riding in the car and was running around crazy.
Yesterday we srove for about 7 1/2 hours before stopping in Tuscaloosa, GA. to sleep. Then this morning we were on the road again. I slept most of the time, see ...
Time to go, I think I hear Mommy putting food in my bowl ...
