Sgt. Major was really excited when George returned home Sunday. He had been in New York at Fort Drum for two weeks prior to Hurricane Rita hitting and and was delayed getting back, then a week later he returned to New York where staff are training with the 10th Mountain Division leaders in preparations for their upcoming deployment.
He leaves again next week to the Joint Readiness Training Center (here at Polk, but they can't come home for a month) so will soon begin packing for that.
As I've said before I was prepared for the deployment seperation, but not so much the seperations leading up to it. It has been really hard on Sgt. major because his schedule changes so much, but we are taking it one day at a time.
